It all started with a beat-up old Defender that a 22-year-old Daniele Cordoni found in his garage, bought by his father, a car enthusiast. At first Daniele wasn't too keen on the Land Rover, having grown up among engines and petrol, and already racing two-stroke mini-enduros at the age of four. But it wasn't long before he took enough of a liking to the old Defender that he wanted to restore it! Maybe with a little extra horsepower!
And so the old car was taken to Officina, with its 20 years of experience in off-road vehicles and Land Rovers. A place where you can breathe in the sand of African rallies and the heritage of the green English countryside. The owner, Cristian Belotti, is a women's rugby coach and when he's not on the field taking a beating, he's devoting himself to his greatest passion: cars. Cristian is a mechanic, driver and navigator. He has taken part in dozens of rallies, both as a driver and as support.
Cristian and Daniele , while planning and carrying out the restoration of the old Defender, found they shared the same passion for all things automotive: a passion that ranges from adventure to the simple pleasure of admiring your own car in the garage – and we're talking real chunks of iron and steel, making noise and getting dirty, gleaming bodywork and gear sticks in full view!
This is how LANDER Restoration & Mod was born, and this is how all our cars are born, between friendship, passion and professionalism!
What happened to the old Defender? Once the restoration was completed and it was restored to its original splendour, patient zero was sold.
Iniziò tutto con un vecchio Defender scassato, che Daniele Cordoni, 25 anni, si trovò in garage, comprato da suo padre, appassionato di auto. Questo Land Rover non piacque subito a Daniele, cresciuto in mezzo ai motori ed alla benzina, che già a quattro anni correva sulle mini-enduro a due tempi. Non ci volle molto per affezionarsi a quel vecchio Defender fino a volerlo rimettere a nuovo! Magari con qualche cavallo in più!
La macchina venne quindi portata nell'Officina di Cristian Belotti , che vanta vent'anni di esperienza in fuoristrada e Land Rover. Un luogo dove si respira la sabbia dei rally africani e l'heritage delle verdi campagne inglesi. Cristian è un allenatore di rugby femminile e quando non sta in campo a prenderle, si dedica alla sua più grande passione: le automobili. Cristian è meccanico, pilota, navigatore. Ha partecipato a decine di rally, come pilota e in assistenza.
Cristian e Daniele , nel progettare ed eseguire il restauro del vecchio Defender scoprono di avere la stessa visione del mondo dell'automobile: una passione che spazia dall'avventura al semplice gusto di ammirare la propria auto in garage, e parliamo di ferri veri, che fanno rumore e sporcano, carrozzerie lucenti e pomelli del cambio in bella mostra!
Nasce così LANDER Restoration & Mod, ed è così nascono tutte le nostre macchine, tra amicizia, passione e professionalità!
Che fine ha fatto il vecchio Defender? Il paziente zero, una volta completato il restauro e riportato al suo splendore originale, è stato venduto.

We restore any car to its original state, using period documentation and specialists in the field, to ensure that you have a real piece of automotive history in your garage. Our engines are always overhauled and, if necessary, completely rebuilt from scratch. The important thing for us is to clock up the miles, comfortably, quickly and in the company of a reliable car built to last. We also overhaul and restore mechanical elements such as clutches and shock absorbers for greater safety and driving comfort. We use only the best materials and employ a network of reliable craftsmen and professionals, selected over twenty years of experience in the area, to offer you unsurpassed quality.
